Sunny The Superb

Sunny The Superb

Sunny

Sunny is the herd leader here at Starlight Cottage. He is now over 30 and we have been together for more than two decades. He was the reason I learnt Equine Touch, and in his athletic prime he competed at affiliated medium level dressage. He is now a master teacher on both the mindfulness and Equine Touch courses, and helps me educate the younger horses, who are full of respect for this wise soul.

He is also well known for his cheeky personality and sense of humour, as well as holding the yard record for fastest escape attempt from the stable and fastest break in attempt on the feed room!

Mulinn The Magical

Mulinn The Magical

Mulinn

Mulinn is the horse who captures everyone’s heart! At the end of each course I always need to check that there are still four horses in the yard and that he hasn’t been kidnapped by his adoring fans. Mulinn’s main life goals are to be the cutest horse in existence and to have as many cuddles as possible. He is still working on his master plan of one day being allowed in the cottage to just sit on the sofa and chill with his favourite humans.

As an Icelandic horse, Mulinn loves hacking and we go for long rambles in the Cotswold countryside, as well and working on his extra gaits - these are called tolt and pace.

Lady The Lovely

Lady The Lovely

Lady

Lady is a stunningly beautiful young warmblood who is a sensitive soul, but who loves attention and a good scratch! She moves very gracefully and loves to learn new things when being worked in hand. We are currently helping her become more confident and exploring the big wide world, as well as increasing her understanding of ‘grown up horse things’ such as saddles!

She is great at gymnastic exercises and we hope she will be a delightful dressage diva in the future.

Mila The Magnificent

Mila The Magnificent

Mila

Mila is a vision in gold! Such a pretty mare, and despite a terrible start to her young life when she was rescued by me and my sister as a weanling covered in lice, malnourished and having had no positive human contact, she has grown up to be a wonderful part of the herd. She does like her food and knows her own mind, but when she is on side, she is both bold and beautiful!

She likes equine agility, particularly if she gets to nibble on all the obstacles! She also does a fine hippo impression after finding the best mud to roll in.
