Getting married and having that magical chance to create meaningful arrangements with beautiful flowers was one of the key moments which inspired me to start Starlight Cottage Flowers. Weddings and flowers go together like tea and biscuits! I used roses I had grown myself but not everyone has that chance. I now offer brides and other event organisers the opportunity to get beautiful bouquets, buckets of DIY flowers, or pre-arranged table decorations, whether they want a few simple arrangements in bottles on the tables, or something more elaborate we can make this happen. I also offer workshops in how to create simple floral impact at a wedding, and how to arrange elegant posies. This can also make for a fun Hen Party activity!
How do wedding & event flowers work?
I can offer a complete DIY option where I just supply buckets of flowers, or a complete florist option in which I do all the bouquets, buttonholes, table decorations and other floral elements. Often it is a mix of the two!
Do contact us when you are planning your wedding, we can discuss what blooms will be in season on the date as well as what atmosphere you wish to create. It is also possible to rent various vases, bottles and jars which can be used for floral arrangements on tables.
